Students who successfully complete the B. Sc Optometry Course are qualified to do     the following : 
• Correction of refractive errors by prescribing glasses. 
• Fitting contact Lenses. 
• Prescribing low Vision Aids. 
• Diagnosing Eye diseases and referring the patients to Ophthalmologists. 
• Diagnosing squint & related dysfunctions & giving Orthoptic treatment. 
• Doing routine procedures in Eye Hospitals like checking Intra ocular pressure, visual field     charting, colour vision testing, corneal topography, contrast sensitivity, Pachymetry,     Synoptophore evaluation, endothelial study, A Scan biometry etc. 
• Checking for the accuracy of the parameters of glasses and contact lenses. 
• Counselling the patients with partial blindness & colour blindness. 
• Participating in community Optometry programmes in schools, colleges and rural areas. 
• Practicing occupational Optometry in Industries.
