The unit of U.T. Naseema Fareed memorial Education Trust was established in 2004 under the leadership of Mr. U.T. Zulfikar Ali with a loving memory to his parents U.T. Naseema and U.T. Fareed, with an aim of providing the top quality education in the field of Speech & Hearing. Since inception the institute has maintained high academic standards and have achieved in providing trained manpower to the Speech & Hearing industry. Eligibility
a) The candidate applying for admission to BSLPA course should have passed 10+2 examination or equivalent / two years of Pre-University/Pre-Degree examination conducted by the Pre University Board of Education of Government of respective State with minimum 50% of marks, and further.
b) The applicant/candidate should have studied: Physics, Chemistry & Biology / Mathematics / Computer Science / Statistics / Electronics / Psychology/ Home Science.
c) At the time of entry/admission to the first semester BSLPA course the candidate should be of age 17 years and there is no upper age limit for admission.
d) Lateral entry to 2nd year of BSLPA is permitted for candidates who meet the following criteria as per Bangalore University rules.
i) Successfully passed Diploma in Hearing-Language-Speech (DHLS) revised course from any RCI recognized training institute with Science background as specified under 3 (b).
ii) Two years of work experience in the field.
iii) A maximum of 3 seats can be admitted on merit basis as supernumerary to total intake permitted by RCI and respective affiliating University. For candidates who have successfully passed the pre-revised DHLS course recognized by RCI with 2 years of work experience, 3 month short course approved by RCI and entrance test will be the requirement.

Eligibility
Pass in BASLP / B.Sc. (Speech & Hearing) / B.Sc. (Speech Language & Hearing) or any other equivalent examination in India or abroad as approved by the Bangalore University. Only those who have completed one year of clinical internship are eligible. MASLP is a post graduate programme following the BASLP course spread over two years/four semesters. MASLP graduates in addition to performing their clinical rehabilitative roles will be able to function as Master trainers and researchers. Master trainers are eligible to take up the role of lecturers in colleges offering Speech, Language pathology and Audiology courses and in medical colleges. They are also eligible to apply for and conduct research projects pertaining to core and allied subjects of speech, language and hearing. In most countries including USA, MASLP is the minimum eligibility qualification to work in schools and hospital setups. Naseema Institute of Speech and Hearing is one of the few institutions in India offering this course.
