University College of Education, Kurukshetra is a premier NAAC accredited (B) institution in the
field of Secondary Teacher Education in Haryana. A co-educational institution offering B.Ed (one
year) regular pre-service teacher education programme is duly recognized by NCTE. College is
located within the beautiful, eco-friendly campus of Kurukshetra University in the holy land of
Mahabharata (Kurukshetra). Initially known as ‘Government College of Education’ its Foundation
stone was laid down by Hon’ble Shri Chandreswar Prashad Narayan, the then Governor of Punjab
on January 11, 1958. In 1973 the college became a constituent college of Kurukshetra University,
Kurukshetra and was renamed as “University College of Education”, Kurukshetra.
Library : In addition to having access to the facilities available at JLN university library, the college has its own well stocked library with almost 20000 books ; 6000 titles; 15 journals; 9 magazines and educational software.
Access to Internet is available to users in the library.The institution has an air conditioned multipurpose hall with multi media facility and seating capacity of more than four hundred persons
