Harkamaya College of Education

Harkamaya College of Education is self financed Co-educational Institute having no discrimination of caste, creed and religion in admission.

Six numbers of classrooms, one auditorium accommodating more than 100 students at a time with facilities of projects, ICT Laboratory, Education Technology laboratory, Geography Laboratory and Bioscience Laboratory along with a digital library are housed in a single building.
Laboratories:The College has four well-equipped laboratories in Educational Technology, Psychology-cum-Learning Resource Centre, Bio-science and Geography. As Educational Technology is an emerging subject both at the graduate U.G. and P.G. levels, a well-equipped Educational Technology laboratory with sophisticated equipments, has been set up in the college. The psychological lab cum learning resource centre is equipped with more than 50 numbers of tests, inventories, scales (verbal, non-verbal and performance) on intelligence test, achievement, creative thinking, motivation, personality, attitude and aptitude, etc. The Bio-Science Laboratory has been well furnished to accommodate 30 students for their practicals. As Geography is one of the important subjects in secondary and higher secondary level, college has introduced this subject as method and content papers to fulfill this need. A well-equipped laboratory with modern sophisticated geographical equipments, maps, models, globes etc are provided to the students for their practicals.
Library:The college has well equipped library and reading room with 9448 reference and recommended books for the UG and PG courses. This includes both Indian and foreign publications. There are 32 journals out of which 25 are educational journals, 2 peer reviewed journals, along with 10 CDs for operation of INFLIBNET. Thus the need of keeping students abreast of the latest development in the field of education, behavioral sciences, technology and general knowledge is fulfilled.
 
 Hostel Facility
Two separate hostels for both ladies and gents are available for students under the direct control and management of the institution.

The Placement and Information Bureau of the College provides counseling with information to the students regarding employment opportunities and training necessity depending upon the types of job. The placement is upto the expectation and satisfaction of students.
