Hills College of Teacher Education, (HCTE) a premier private institution to spread and upgrade Teacher Education in the state of Arunachal Pradesh in particular and in the country in general was established in the year 2003 at Naharlagun the capital city of Arunachal Pradesh
Currently, the institution is engaged in offering 1 (one) year B.Ed course in affiliation to Rajiv Gandhi University (formerly Arunachal University). Rono Hills, Arunachal Pradesh vide Registration No AC-590/HCTE/2005 dated 04th May 2006 and duly recognized by the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) vide order No. ERC/7-64.10.0/2006/442-447 dated 18th Feb. 2006.
The College has a well-equipped library with a reasonable number of books other than the reference books, journals and the newspapers. Each student, on admission, gets three (03) reader cards to borrow books from the library. Students are entitled to get the books issued for fifteen (15) days against a reader’s card. A fine @ Rs 1.00 per day is imposed after the expiry of the date of the returning of the books. The college also provides photocopy facilities to the teachers, students and other staff members at a conscessional rate.
