Aided by Govt. of Kerala and Affiliated to University of Calicut.Amal College of Advanced Studies run by the Nilambur Muslim Orphanage Committee, Nilambur to impart quality Higher Education to the people of backward and rural areas, especially to the orphans, destitutes, Backward Communities, SCs and STs.The College was shifted to the new campus at Santhigramam, Myladi on 1st January 2007.
Laboratory Hostel Facility
The Production Lab and Service Lab for BTHM Course and the College Computer Lab are set up with the financial support under the Local Area Development Scheme of Jb. P.V. Abdul Wahab .M.P.
The college has a well stacked library with a good collection of books and journals. The computerisation of library has already been started with the Library Automation Project under the Local Area Development Fund of Mr. P. V. Abdul Wahab M.P.. A Book Bank of essential text books for all courses is being set up in the library.
Seperate hostel facilities are available on the campus for boys and girls at moderate rates.A Monitoring System for Resident Students is being implemented to assess the progress of residential students by putting them under the direct supervision of a teacher designated as Provost. Scholarship Facility
Scholarships such as National Merit Scholarship from Special Officer for Scholarships and fee concession by the Scheduled Caste Department are available for the students of this college. Kerala State Scholarships for Arts and Science Courses are available to students in the first year of their study provided they have secured 50% and above in their qualifying examination and annual income of their parents does not exceed Rs.10,000/- The scholarships are awarded on merit cum means subject to the number allotted each year. The income limit for fee concession from Scheduled Caste Department is Rs.25,000/- for degree courses. Full fee concession is granted to students on production of the necessary income, nativity and community certificate.
