" Maha College of Engineering " will henceforth be known as " Mahendra College of Engineering " (MCE). MCE is a 7 year old engineering institution acclaimed for its quality education, discipline, placement and infrastructure. Only the college name has been changed, the management remains the same. We have changed from Maha to Mahendra only to bring in the institution into our "Mahendra Group of Institutions" fold and to be identified with the 3 decade old "Mahendra Group of Educational Institutions". The group is managed by professionals hailing from various fields. The name has now changed, but the ethics, moral values and visions remain the same. Be guaranteed of our quality education that has been availed of and enjoyed by the students will only get better in the forthcoming years.
Mahendra College of Engineering is an unit of Mahendra Educational Trust established in 2005 to meet the higher education needs of the students who seek to stand as engineers and scientists. It is located in Minnampalli, on the Salem-Chennai highway, the campus is bounded on the east by Attur, on the west by Salem, on the south by Namakkal and on the north by Dharmapuri. The college is recognized by AICTE and affiliated to Anna university.
Hostel Facility
Mahendra College of Engineering has well-furnished hostel for both boys and girls. Hostel is facilitated with single, double bed and dormitory, hot and cold purified drinking water, 24 hour power backup, communication and entertainment, indoor games like Chess, Carom and modern Gym, outdoor games such as cricket, volleyball, common reading room, dining hall and medical facilities.
Scholarship Facility
Mahendra College of Engineering is devoted to extend the hand towards the students who dream to do higher studies from poor economic background. Students from backward communities who have eligibility for admission are also given concessions and scholarships. To prove the continuous credentials of our college in the academic arena students score high rank in semester examinations, are commended with cash awards and prizes.
The technical knowledge and skills of the students is used effectively when they are placed in competent places. On concentrating this in mind the Training and Placement Cell bridges the career aspirations of the students and the requirements of the recruiters in an effective manner. The cell gives special attention on improving the students to attend placement programmes and perform successfully. It has an efficient team to train the students by giving the training in Personality development, Aptitude and Technical tests, Communication skills, Group discussion, interview etc. The Training and Placement cell works through the constant interaction with companies and organizes industrial visits, in-plant training and projects for the students
