Eligibility
B.Sc. in Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Physics, Biotechnology, Environment Science, Microbiology, Geology, Geography, Life Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, Forestry, Wildlife Science, Agriculture, Oceanography, Marine Sciences, B. F.Sc. (Fisheries Science), B.E. in Civil engineering, Environmental Engineering with a minimum 50% marks (45% is case of SC/ST candidates) in the above mentioned examination. Candidates who have appeared or who are likely to appear for the qualifying examination i.e. B.Sc or equivalent but whose results have not been as yet declared can also appear for this entrance test provided they have offered the mentioned subjects at the said examination.

Geography, B.E. in Mechanical, Civil, IT, Computer, Chemical, Electrical, Electronics and Telecommunications, Environment with atleast 50% (45% in case of SC / ST candidates) in the aggregate undergraduate/ postgraduate marks

Other Details
The M.Sc. in Geoinformatics aims to provide conceptual knowledge on GIS, remote sensing and related fields, Information Technology, and hands-on training in GIS, remote sensing, data interpretation, digital image processing, digital photogrammetry, digital cartography and GPS. The course contents have been designed keeping view the emerging trends in the field of Geoinformatics and the increasing needs of skilled manpower.

The candidate needs to have completed a two year Masters of Science degree in a related discipline
 
Admission Procedure
Admission to the Doctorate Program in Environment Science requires the following:
. Eligibility of the candidate based on the eligibility criteria mentioned above
. Submission of application form and payment of application fee
. Merit obtained in the PhD Entrance Exam conducted every year at the Bharati Vidyapeeth University (questions based on the syllabus for the Masters in Environment Science)
. Presentation of Thesis Topic and Interview Process carried out at the Institute based on the entrance exam results
. Submission of Research Plan to the Institute
 
Other Details
The Ph.D program consists of coursework and thesis research and presentation. The course work will consist of three papers
1.Tools and Techniques in Environmental Science ; 2.Quantitative Analysis Techniques ; 3.Literature Review
All the three papers are compulsory. The duration of the course work will be one semester. Each paper will be taught for minimum of 50 hours and maximum of 60 hours. The 3rd paper" Reviewing of Published Research Work" in the area of the students Ph. D. topic will be a continuous process. In Paper I the student should select practicals to cover a 60 hour period. The selection of the practical will be done based on the research topic in consultation with the respective guide and the HOD/ Director
