Eligibility
B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent degree in Metallurgy, Mechanical/Production/Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mining Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Ceramic Engineering/Technology, Polymer Engineering/Technology or Engineering Physics. OR B.Sc. or equivalent degree with Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry followed by AMIE in Chemical Engineering, Materials & Metallurgical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering or AMIIM. OR Master’s degree in Physics, Chemistry, Geology, Mineral Processing or Materials Science. (Candidatesshould have at least 60% marks in the respective qualifying exam)

Admission is based on a written test followed by an interview for short-listed candidates

Admission Procedure
Admission is based on a written test followed by an interview for short-listed candidates. Candidates already possessing an M.E./M.Tech. degree in one of the above specified areas, as well as those who have qualified in the CSIR/UGC NET examination for JRFs or have a GATE/JEST percentile score of 90 or above, will be exempted from the entrance examination but will have to appear for the interview.
