St.Joseph’s College of Nursing, Anchal is one of the health care Education Institutions established on 2002 by the St.Joseph’s Medical Trust, founded by the religious sisters of the Daughters of Mary Congregation of the St.Mary’s Province in the Major Archiepiscopal diocese of Trivandrum, in accordance with the rights of the minority community guaranteed in the Constitution of India. The College is affiliated to the Kerala University of Health and Allied Sciences and recognized by Govt. of Kerala, Indian Nursing Council and Kerala Nursing Council. St. Joseph’s College of Nursing is a member of the Association of the Management of Self Financing Nursing Colleges of Kerala (AMSFNCK)

Eligibility
Candidates must be citizens of India or children or dependents of Non Residents Indians Candidates who have passed higher secondary examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala, or Examinations recognized equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Biology separately, and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology put together, are eligible. Rounding of the percentage of marks to the nearest whole number is not permitted. Candidates who have passed their qualifying examination from authorities other than the State of Kerala shall produce certificate of recognition and equivalence of the qualifying examination from any university in Kerala. The norms if eligibility prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council / Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council / affiliating Universities shall also apply.
 
Duration
Four years covering intensive theory and practical classes. All candidates admitted to the course will have to do one year compulsory internship after the declaration of the fourth year examination result.
