Eventhough ‘Sri Ayyappa Polytechnic College’ came into being at Tittakudi in Cuddalore district in 1997 and shifted to the present location later, it slipped into a position where only 300 students remained on its rolls in 2005. The present management took over its reins from 2005. With a sense of commitment & a burning vision, this management cared for the college. One more Polytechnic College by name “Ayyappa Polytechinic College” was established in 2008 and the total students strength has jumped to nearly 2000 now, within a span of 6 years.

1 .	Diploma in Civil Engineering
	Eligibility The candidates who complete the Xth Standard are eligible for admission Lateral Entry Admission : HSC / 10 th std with 2 years ITI students can directly join the second year of the three year Diploma programme under Lateral Entry System.
	Duration 3 years
	Admission Procedure For admission, no merit ranking list is prepared. Once an aspirant satisfies the bare minimum qualification set by Govt for admission, he/she is admitted straightaway. Some genuine cases of very poor students, are also given concessions of tuition fee payment. The admitted students with such a low entry percentage, are given special & continuous coaching by a team of qualified and dedicated teachers, throughout the year, making many of them to score 90 to 99.99% in the Board Examinations

2 .	Diploma in Computer Engineering
