Chandy Polytechnic College, Thoothukudi is a self financing institution, approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and affiliated to Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE), Chennai. It’s being run by Pitchandy Poornamalaiammal Trust, Muthiapuram, Thoothukudi. Our Chandy polytechnic college was started in the year 2005. The Prime Objective of our institute is to provide quality education to students belonging to economically weaker and downtrodden sections of society. It has been set up with an aim to achieve technological excellence in rural area and it is permitted to offer three years Diploma in engineering to eligible students selected as per the norms of Government of Tamilnadu. It is to follow the syllabus, curriculum and evaluation system prescribed by the DOTE, Chennai. It is comply with the rules and regulations of the state government of Tamilnadu.

Libraries have played a vital role in the advancement of human society. Students can access books via libraries and other means. We expect that making this unique library with internet facility is a resource to the students and staff to enhance their learning process. All newspapers are available in our library. In addition, it has many journals, magazines relevant to their departments.
Hostel Facility
Separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. Boys hostel is inside the college campus. Girls hostel is situated in the Chandy Head Quarters. 24 hours phone, water and electricity facilities. Separate Dining Hall. The mess is run on dividing system. Each room contains six beds, six cupboards, six study desk and chair. Hostel provides standard and hygienic food. Well ventilated hostel rooms. Students are cared by sub wardens during the study hour. High standard and discipline in the hostel. The store is provided with stationary and snacks
Placement cell is actively engaged in arranging campus requirement for our students. We arrange on and off campus interviews, seminars for final year students, entrepreneurship classes etc. Placement is headed under Mr. P. Gopi & Mr. J. Arulraj Raja Singh and one faculty in each department.
