Sri Rajiv Gandhi polytechnic college was established in the year 2008 of July by the excellent public service motivator Thiru.G.Rajan M.C.A., of Saraswathi Educational and Charitable Trust. He has gathered totally 9 years of working experience in Polytechnic College, started his career as a lecturer and stepped up as Head of the Department, Administrative Officer and finally now Correspondent & Secretary. Our college comprises twelve members including Doctors, Professors, Engineers and Industrialists adds an extra feather on the cap. Always their valuable contribution and encouragement has given a new impetus to our work
Lecture Halls : We have 20 lecture halls all of them are well-equipped which enable the faculty to conduct classes. This very special learning environment enables faculty to impart knowledge innovatively. Seating capacity of each class is more than 60.
Library
Specialised collections of Books, Journals & Non-book materials are available in Basic Sciences, Biotechnology, and Engineering & Technology for various departments, Humanities and Social Sciences are all found in the well furnished modernized library. Highly qualified, efficient librarians ensure the best possible information services. There are 4,500 textbooks and books by well-known authors are stocked. Every effort is made to obtain all titles recommended by the faculty. Multiple copies of popular books are bought to make them available to as many students as possible.
Hostel Facility
We are providing individual hostel facilities for both boys and girls. In boys hostel there are 20 rooms sized 10 x 16 ft with proper sanitation, round the clock security and transport facility for emergency. Every effort has been made at the Institute to provide the best facilities for students who live on campus. Every student has indulged themselves in all the sports activities. Girl’s hostel is also located near the campus with all the needed facilities.

To ensure hundred percent placement for the students, our placement cell promote the students skills according to the company’s expectation. With this training our students get placed in top most companies.
