The Institute Of Road and Transport Polytechnic College (Bargur) was established in the year 1992. It is run by Institute of Road Transport, Taramani, Chennai, under the control of State Transport Department , Government of TamilNadu. The Institute is located at Chettipalli village in Chennai - Bangalore National highways( NH 46) . It is 10 km from Krishnagiri and 7 km from Bargur. This Institution is started with the idea of imparting Technical education to the wards of the State Transport Corporation Employees. Our Polytechnic Initially functioning at the Govt. Polytechnic College Krishnagiri and from the year 1994 it is shifted to new campus with an area of 9.17 acres .The Institute has excellent infrastructure, well-equipped laboratories, library and highly qualified faculty members. The Institute is well known for its technical excellence, modern facilities, good performance track record and resourcefulness. Our institute offers three disciplines namely, Computer Engineering,Electronics and Communication Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
