Madras Medical Mission is an organization inspired by the missionary zeal of Bishop Zachariah Mar Dionysius, Metropolitan of the Madras Diocese of the Orthodox Church of India. The mission's effort to establish an institution to engage in the Ministry of Healing resulted in setting up its first unit relating to cardiac care in June 1987 in the hired premises of another hospital in the Mecca of Health Care in India–Chennai. Within a short period, from this humble abode, the Madras Medical Mission moved in 1995 to its own premises at Mogappair, a residential suburb of Chennai city, an aesthetically designed eight storeyed building around lush green surroundings.Nuclear Medicine division was established in the year 1998
