BackgroundVision & MissionInfrastructure CoursesPlacementsSai Vidya Institute of Technology is an engineering college in Bengaluru, affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, recognised by Government of Karnataka and approved by All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi, India. It was established in the year 2008 by Sri Sai Vidya Vikas Shikshana Samithi (SSVVSS) which is a trust formed by a team of professors under the leadership of Prof M.R.Holla, a recipient of Karnataka Rajyothsava Award in recognition of his unparalleled services to technical education as Principal of RVCE (20 Years). The team consists of Prof. Y. Jayasimha, Prof. R.C. Shanmukha Swamy, Prof.A.M.Padma Reddy, Sri. Srinivas Raju, Sri Manohar.M.K and Sri. Narayan Raju.
Library : The Library uses easily software package which is an integrated multi-user library management system that supports all in-house operations of the Library. The Easylib consists of modules on acquisition, cataloguing, circulation, serials, article indexing and OPAC. Retrospective conversion of bibliographic records has been completed and more than 15249 bibliographic records of books available in the Library can now be accessed through the OPAC Search. The database of books available in the Library is being updated on day to day basis with details of recently acquired books. The editing and updating activities are in progress. Online access to the e-resource of the Digital Library portals of IEEE, ASME, ASCE, Springer link. These e-resources are IP enabled, can be accessed anywhere in the campus.
Transport:The college has a fleet of 10 buses running from different parts of Bangalore for comfortable and tension free commuting of students and staff. The charges are nominal and affordable.
Hostel Facility
The institution has two separate hostels one each for boys and girls in its campus to cater to the needs of students from others parts of the country. Each hostel is provided with its own kitchen and dining areas and is supported by a team of well experienced cooks. The hostels are maintained for cleanliness by a team of maintenance staff. Problems if any, are attended immediately by the concerned person.
The girl's hostel has three floors with more than 50 rooms. Three students are accommodated in each room. The food bills are on sharing basis. Two residential wardens who are also faculty members of the institution look after the hostelites. The boy's hostel is a four storied building with100 rooms, which can accommodate around three hundred students.
