Murugesan Institute of Technology popularity known as MIT is an off shoot of Kumaramangalam Angemuthu Mudaliar Educational Trust Salem . IT is the brainchild of the eminent and the dedicated academician who has been serving for the cause of Technical Education since 1961 in various capacities as Lecturer, HOD and Principal of many institutions. In the year 1997 he decided to start a Polytechnic in the name & style of Murugesan Institute of Technology in the suburb of the salem city, MIT is an off-shoot of the Kumaramangalam Angamuthu Mudaliar Educational Trust, Salem.
