P.A.C. Ramasamy Raja Polytechnic College, Rajapalayam established in the year 1963 is one of the best polytechnic colleges in India. Created as a Centre of Excellence for higher training and skill development in Engineering and Technology at Technical level, this institution is functioning under autonomous status. The Institution is affiliated to the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Tamilnadu, Chennai and the overall management of the Institution is vested with the Governing Council under the able leadership of Shri P.R. Ramasubrahmaneya Rajha, Chairman, RAMCO Group of Industries.
P.A.C. Ramasamy Raja Polytechnic College is located at P.S.K. Nagar, Rajapalayam, 85 km south of Madurai, Tamilnadu. Extending into area of 55 acres, the campus is imaginatively laid out with a beautiful landscape in serene atmosphere. It is laid with clean and wide roads. It presents a spectacle of harmony in architecture and natural beauty. Well-equipped labs and workshops and spacious classrooms ensure effective Teaching-Learning Process. The campus houses a Nationalized Bank, Co-operative Stores, Book depot, Canteen, Xerox Centre, Medical Facility, Public Telephone booth and Sports Centre to fulfill the needs of various stakeholders.
Hostel Facility
The hostel is run by the P.A.C. Ramasamy Raja Education Charity Trust. There are as many as 85 rooms available and each room can accommodate four to eight students. With the available infrastructure facilities, a total number of 650 students can stay in our hostel. Ceiling fans, sufficient lights and black boards are provided in each room. Vegetarian food is served in the hostel. Modern kitchen with steam cooking ranges, pollution - free dust exhaust system, and modular dining tables are provided so as to make the entire atmosphere hygienic.
A Placement Cell is functioning in the campus to ensure proper placement to students. A senior faculty of the Polytechnic is in-charge of the cell. Placement Officer is in constant touch with regular recruiter as well as with reputed companies and industrial and business houses. This cell is also responsible for providing in-plant training for students in Industries. Personality and Career development programmes are conducted in order to increase the employability of students. Eminent personalities and speakers are invited periodically to motivate the students to achieve lofty ideals.
