Rajagopal Polytechnic College is the vision and creation of Late Shri.B.Rajagopal Naidu, great philanthropist of Gudiyattam. He founded the institution in August 1960. It was a 26 lakh Project, sponsored by Rajagopal Educational Trust during the second five year plan of Government of India. The tradition and work culture of the founder is being carried on from strength after his demise in 1973, by his three dynamic sons Thiru.R.Srihari(Chairman), Thriu R.Paranthaman (Treasurer) and Thriu.R.Raghuraman(Trustee)The polytechnic college is located in a 38.73 acre plot on Gudiyattam-Katpadi road at about 2kms from Gudiyattam bus station in Vellore district of Tamil Nadu. The nearest Railway station is Gudiyattam R.S about 3kms from the college.

1 .	Diploma in Automobile Engineering
	Eligibility The candidates who complete the Xth Standard are eligible for admission Lateral Entry Admission : HSC / 10 th std with 2 years ITI students can directly join the second year of the three year Diploma programme under Lateral Entry System.
	Duration 3 years
	No. of Seats 60 seats
	Other Details A candidate is eligible for the Diploma if only he/she undergone the prescribed course of study for a period not less than 3 academic years and has passed all the prescribed theory & Practical subjects including project works The subjects of study shall be on both theory and practical and is in accordance with the syllabus and curriculam prescribed by the Directorate of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu. Board Examinations: Examinations are conducted in semester pattern, during the month of October and April in every year.

2 .	Diploma in Civil Engineering
