Ranganathan Polytechnic College

The candidates who passed x standard or equivalent examinations with Mathematics and Science subjects are eligible for admission into polytechnic colleges. For lateral entry into the second year (III Semester) of the three year diploma courses, the candidates shall be required to have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (Academic or Vocational) of 10 and +2 pattern, with the following conditions:
1. Academic Stream candidates should have compulsorily studied Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry at 10 and +2 level.
2. Vocational Stream candidates should have studied either Maths or Physics or Chemistry as one of the subjects of study along with the related vocational subjects (Theory & Practical) at 10 and +2 level. There is no age limit for the admission. 50% of the total seats are filled by the community reservation formula as fixed by the Government of TamilNadu.
3. All the students should submit the original 10th mark sheet, transfer certificate and community certificate at the time of first year Admission in addition to this the other State students should submit the migration certificate.
The students those who are admitted in the lateral entry scheme should submit the original +2 Certificate at the time of Admission. In addition to this the other state students should submit the migration certificate.
5. The Students those who belongs to other State should apply for the Equivalent certificate from The Directorate of Technical Education and submit it to the College.
