Sakthi Polytechnic College (An ISO 9001:2001 Certified Institution), has been sponsored by the Sakthi foundation as one of its developmental programmes. The main aim of this institution is to impart technical education among the rural youths. Padma Bhushan Dr.N. Mahalingam,the famous industrialist and educationalist is the promoter and president of the foundation. The institution is managed by a Governing Council with Padma Bhushan Dr.N.Mahalingam as Chairman. Representatives and experts from the fields of education and industry form the members of the Council. The institution has been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education(AICTE).
The institution is located in an extensive area of 102 acres at Appakudal, Nachimuthupuram on Bhavani-Sathyamangalam Road.
Hostel Facility
The hostel function under the general supervision of the Warden, Committee is functioning to look after the welfare of the students. Students availing hostel accommodation are governed by the hostel rules and should regularly pay their hostel dues, advances etc., Arrears of the same may entail postponement of the issue of certificate until the dues are cleared. A hostel comprising of a ground floor and first floor with a built in area of 11,750 sq.ft. Comprising of 32 rooms with a capacity to accommodate 120 students functions for the benefit of the students.

The Placement Center functions for the benefit of passed out students. The main aim of this center is to bring an awareness among the students about various employment opportunities, arrange for campus interviews, placement, training, career guidance programmes and guidance for higher studies. Placement section is headed by a senior faculty as placement officer and assisted by placement co- ordinators of various departments. The placement section is functioning over the years in enhancing the placement potential effectively. It plays a key role in counseling and guiding the students of the college for their successful career placement. Placement section caters the needs of organization in conducting campus interviews. More than 50 reputed national and 5 multinational companies visit Sakthi polytechnic college for campus recruitment annually. More than 75% of the students secure job offers before they complete their programme of studies and leave the college.
