The Department of Space Engineering and Rocketry was visualized by the founder, Shri B. M. Birla to train engineers and scientists in the emerging areas of Aerospace and Rocket Technologies way back in 1963.
The Department has its own Administrative Building having Class Rooms and Seminar Halls, besides various Laboratories and Static Rocket Test Facilities. The Department has been engaged in R & D work in various fields of rocketry, and possesses immense potential towards furthering its activities.
