Dr.Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, was established by an Act of Govt.of Uttar Pradesh in 2005, (U.P.Act No.28 of 2005) and came into being on 4th of January 2006 to meet up the new challenges in legal fields and to strengthen the vision that was given by the establishment first National Law School of the country. As an institution founded to create, acquire, and disseminate legal knowledge, the university provides for members of the university community an state of the art modern infrastructural facilities . This infrastructure is the property of the university and is provided for the purpose of facilitating the purpose of the university including teaching, learning, scholarship, research, communication, co-curricullar and other creative endeavors. Dr. Madhu Limaye Library" houses a valuable collections of legal materials, and provides access to numerous online services and internet sources which serves the legal research needs of the Students and Faculty.

Scholarship Facility
Scholarships to the candidates of SC/ST/OBC of Uttar Pradesh and also to the students of unreserved categories having family income less than Rs. 1.00 lac per annum are available under various schemes of the Department of Social Welfare, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh. Students of these categories are also eligible for reimbursement of their annual fee subject to fulfillment of the conditions laid down by the Social Welfare Department, Backward Class Welfare Department, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh, as the case may be.
