St. Michael College of Engineering and Technology was established in the year 1998 by St. Michael Educational and Charitable Trust founded by Late Ln. Dr. V. Michael, B.E., M.I.S.T.E., Ph.D (USA). The college is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Anna University. St. Michael College of Engineering and Technology is specialized in providing comprehensive education in the academic fields of Engineering, Technology and Management. Our pedagogy enriches students' knowledge in various academic disciplines. Hostel Facility
We have separate boarding facilities for the boys and girls with spacious and ventilated rooms. The hostel campus is highly safe and secure. Students are raised in a comfortable environment with individual personal attention by dedicated wardens and teachers. The hostel is provided with modern amenities including convenient room – that can accommodate four students. All the rooms are bath attached. The tranquil ambience helps the students to concentrate on their studies and helps them to develop self confidence, self discipline, individuality, interpersonal relationship and a sense of direction. The atmosphere ensures a "Home away from Home" feel among the students.
Training & Placement Cell is the top most priority of SMCET and aims at 100 % placement. Our placement cell undertakes counseling, training and value additions to ensure that students are ready to get placed in reputed organizations. The cell maintains continuous contact with the Industry's veterans and top officials to provide the best career opportunity to the students. A full day in a week is scheduled to train the students to enrich their technical skills, soft skills, aptitude knowledge, verbal reasoning and comprehensive skills. All efforts are being taken by the Cell to develop good "Industry-Institute" relations.
