Thanapandiyan Polytechnic was established in the year 1985 by Sasikala Memorial Educational Trust under the able guidance of our Chairman LION .Thiru R.Pandian M.A. The Institute is strategically located near the Kappalur industrial estate in a serene atmosphere. It has been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and the Government of Tamilnadu affiliated to Directorate of Technical Education, Chennai. The vision of Thanapandian polytechnic is to contribute to society through the pursuit of education and research at the highest international levels of excellence while simultaneously encouraging freedom of thought and expression, respect fordiversity and inculcating the values of courage and compassion.

Library - The Library is well stacked with 17,700 Volumes - 5383 Titles . NPTEL Course matrial is made available. The Library functions from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm
