DAV College of Engineering and Technology (DAVCET), Kanina was established in 2002 in the rural and comparatively backward area of south Haryana. The college has been set up by a special choice at Kanina, an extremely peaceful and pollution-free location which is ideally conducive for academics and research, yet in the neighborhood of New Delhi , Noida, Faridabad and Gurgaon, the satellite city of India and a house of all big IT giants providing tremendous job opportunities. It is well connected with Chandigarh and Mohali, which are stated to be the next IT hubs of India with the establishment of IT parks and R&D centres of various MNC's.The National Auto Hub, IMT, Manaser (Gurgaon) is only 50 K.M. away promising great potential for future in the field of auto industry.

The DAVCET Library collectively supports the teaching, research and extension programmes of the Institute. All students and faculty members of the Institute are entitled to make use of the Library facilities on taking library membership. The Library, besides having a huge collection of books on engineering, science and humanities offers library services through its various Divisions. Initially setup in 2002 in Academic Block (Drawing Hall), the Library was shifted to Knowledge Development Centre in 2006 after being inaugurated by our honourable CM, Sh. Bhupinder Singh Hooda. The Institute has an excellent Computer Centre Equipped with 66 WIPRO Core 2 Duo Computers with 1GB RAM. It allows the Students /Faculty to cope with latest information and technology in relevant fields through 2 Mbps dedicated link with Reliance. 
 
 Hostel Facility
Separate hostels are available for boys and girls with homely environment and parental care. Each room is provided with ceiling fan, tables, chairs, cupboards etc. Bathrooms are kept ultra-clean and are fitted with geysers. Various recreational facilities comprise of TV (with Dish TV connection), indoor games and a well equipped gymnasium. Each floor is having one water-cooler with water-purifier to provide cold water to the residents in the summer season. Reading material in the form of NEWS papers and magazines are available in the hostel. To make the energy efficient students are advised to use CFL tube lights have been installed in the entire hostel premises.

Training and Placement Cell is an integral part of the institute. The institute has provided complete infrastructure for effective functioning of the cell. The cell facilitates the process of placement of students besides collaborating with leading organizations and institutes in setting up of internship and training program of student. The cell keeps on inviting various companies and reputed firms for campus recruitment. It modules the engineering grades to young corporals. The cell is sensitized to function all through the year towards generating placement and training opportunities for the students. Reputed industrial houses across the country visit our institute regularly for the campus recruitment programs. The placement cell coordinates quite well with the corporate sector and provides well-developed infrastructure to facilitate the campus selection programs. The cell maintains a very cordial relationship with all the recruiting industries and also prepares the recruited candidates to face the competitive world.
