College of Pharmacy & Vocational Studies, Muzaffarnagar is approved by AICTE(All India Council for Technical Education) & PCI(Pharmacy Council of India), Recognized by Govt. of Uttar Pradesh & Affiliated to Mahamaya Technical University, Noida (formerly UPTU Lucknow). S.D. College of Pharmacy and Vocational Studies was established in the year 2001, under the aegis of The S.D. College Association. The Institute offers, full time four-year degree course in Pharmaceutical Sciences. The institute is located in a peaceful & Pollution free environment, which has an attractive building comprising of administrative block, Lecture halls, laboratories, Library, Medicinal garden, Lush green lawns, & play grounds.
The College is well established & equipped for all Academic & co curricular activities as all the labs are designed in an up-to-date pattern to provide adequate space for each student, to carry out their practical work individually. There are 3 separate labs for Pharmaceutics for all levels of experimentation work. One lab is for small-scale formulation of pharmaceutical preparations like emulsion, elixirs, syrup, lotion, & cosmetics e.g. Creams, Shampoos, and Nail preparations, Lipsticks, Deodorants etc. The college has a well-maintained Museum for the display of various charts, Models, Specimens. It is also provided with LCD & Slide projectors for demonstration purposes. Museum has a special stock of 200 permanent slides in its record.
Hostel Facility
The college provided well-furnished proper residential facility for students, separately for girls & boys with proper security & Facilities. Round the clock electric supply is ensured with the help of generators. The students admitted to the hostel are entitled to stay in the hostel during the academic session only and are required to vacate the rooms during the summer vacations. The students are given the Bye-laws of the hostel at the time of admission. Students staying in the hostel are provided free medical facilities at S D Medical Institute. Internet facility also provided in each room of boys and girls hostel.
