St. Francis Institute of Art and Design (SFIAD) was established in 1986, with the aim of training aspiring artists and designers into competent professionals.
Course Objectives:
To identify design requirements with consideration of environmental factors, professional design standards, and economic considerations. To develop an aesthetic ability to critique a variety of designs for communication in visual format. To create a resourceful environment that will enable the designers to become professional designprenears. To master a master plan of space for habitation and commerce.
To provide the best theoretical knowledge to students, we have a library with latest textbooks and periodicals related to Design, Architecture, Interior Design and other allied subjects of famous authors from all over the world. The Institute also subscribes
to various journals and magazines on Architecture and Interior Design. The library and reading room are open to students between 8.30 am to 6.00 pm., every day except Sundays and Public Holidays.
One of the prime objectives of SFIAD is to lay the foundation of the career of its
students after study.With this in mind placement cell is formed. This important forum on campus is to help the students to be aware of the industry in terms of opportunities for growth, job profile and remunerations offered. It also gives the students a chance to interact with the employees of the companies and learn more about the work culture. It is a matter of pride to state that all our students who complete their exams are given placement through the institution
