Muthoot Institute of Technology (MITS) is promoted by Muthoot M. George Institute of Technology, a Section 25 Company within the Muthoot Group. MITS, a self financing Engineering College is situated in the Industrial suburb of KOCHI close to the Smart City and Info Park.
Central Computing Facility:Central computing facility will provide access of network to students and staff. It is planned to provide 120 PCs, connected with local area network to main server. High speed internet connection also will be provided. Various OS (Windows, Linux etc.) with application software as per requirement of the curriculum will be made available. All computers will have broadband internet connectivity with a minimum speed of 2 mbps at 1:1 ratio.
Central Library:The library will consist of reading hall, stack room, current periodical room, issue counters, office and stores. The library will be administered by qualified and experienced librarians and will have the facility of searching on-line journals from various Universities of the world. The book issue and return system will be completely automated and the Institute will provide books on the curriculum, periodicals, national and international journals and other informative materials in the library. E-journals from the INDEST consortium of the AICTE will be made available in the first academic year itself.
Central Workshop: The central workshop for the first year will be common to all the branches as per the syllabus of the M.G. University and will include carpentry shop, fitting, welding shops, Sheet Metal workshop, foundry and demonstration of lathe operations. There will be provision for Physics & Chemistry demonstration labs. The institute will upgrade the equipment as necessary, from time to time.
Central Instrumentation Facility:
The College will also have a central instrumentation facility in addition to the Central Workshop.
A well-equipped health-club/gymnasium will be provided with modern and latest equipments.
Hostel Facility
Separate hostels for boys and girls will be constructed in the campus.
Scholarship Facility
The company provide scholarships to the bright students from the economically backward sector.The scholarships are paid in different ranges namely full, half or partial fee waiver according to the merit of each case.
