Sri Venkateswara Engineering College (SVEC) was established in 2009, under the patronage of Shri. A.V. Prathap Reddy B.E (Hons) BITS, Pilani and Shri. M. Ramaiah Ex. E.C. Member, S.K.University, Anantapur, with a vision of producing globally competitive technocrats from this institute. SVEC is located on NH-1, Delhi- Ambala Road, Village Piplikhera, Dist. Sonipat, about 7 kms from Murthal and 40 kms from Delhi Karnal by-pass. SVEC is managed by the South India based Sri Venkateswara Charitable Trust (SVCT), Hyderabad (A.P.).
The college has a beautiful building constructed over an area of 12.5 acres on NH-1, Delhi- Ambala Road, comprising of very spacious laboratories, lecture theatres, library, workshops equipped with state of the art machinery and equipment. The campus is electronically connected to the whole world with the help of 4 Mbps leased line
Hostel Facility
A well furnished hostel facility is available for a student strength of about 250 for boys in the
campus. For girls a separate hostel is being built which would be ready by 2014. Till such
time, a temporary hostel accommodation is provided in a very close by colony in Sonepat town, very close to the college campus. Potable and clean water through reverse osmosis filtration plant is made available for drinking as well as laboratory use in the campus.
Scholarship Facility
Sri Venkateswara Engineering College offers a range of scholarships and cash awards to the meritorious & deserving students in recognition of their outstanding academic achievements and special talents identified among the excelling students. Apart from Government scholarships, Sri Venkateswara Charitable Trust provides its own scholarship to deserving students.
The placement cell handles all aspects of campus placements for the students at SVEC. The office is well equipped with excellent infrastructure to support every stage of the placement process. The college has appropriate arrangements for pre-placement talks, written tests, interviews and group discussions etc.
