Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management & Development Studies is an autonomous non-profit body registered in the year 1982 under the societies Registration Act 1860. The primary objective of the institute is to serve the industrial sector of the country in various fields of Management & Information Technology.
Library: The well-stocked Library of the institute with over 15,000 text books and 100 magazines and journals has a carpet area of 3000 square feet. It has a spacious reading room which presents and environment wherein the students make prior preparations for the class room teaching, presentations etc. enrich their knowledge by reading business periodical and research journals. The library allows access to e-journals of Management and Computer Science.
Hostel Facility
Separate hostel facilities are available for boys and girls. The facilities provided not only compensate for the lack of home environment but also are conductive for their studies.
The Institute has a well organized Training and Placement Division which keeps a constant touch with the industry. This division assists the students in placing them for practical training of two months/one month duration as per the requirement of course because the education of a future manager will be incomplete without experience in the industry. For the job placement, the division arranges interviews for students to a secure responsible positions in various organizations. The Institute has also set up an Industry - Institute linkage cell for this purpose. Till date, the Institute has placed 79% of the students through campus recruitment program.
