Wilson College, an educational institution going back to 1832 began as Ambrolie School in Girgaum, later seeing several changes of sites and names, eventually being called Wilson School. A collegiate section from which Wilson College evolved in 1836. In 1952, the Management of the college came under an autonomous Board of Governors in India. Since 1963, the college functions under the Management of John Wilson Education Society. Wilson College is a Christian Minority Institution and is closely related to CNI. It aims at educationof the Christian community and extends its facilities and services to other communities too. Today Wilson College is one of the few colleges in Mumbai which offer an array of subjects in the Arts, Science and Vocational stream, along with undergraduate courses in Management Studies, Mass Media, Biotechnology, Computer Science and Information Technology.
Wilson College is truly a college for students as we provide all possible facilities to help our students’ stay in college to be a comfortable and a memorable one. Wilson college is one among a few colleges in Mumbai that can boast of some of the facilities provided by us for our students. Especially separate Hostels for both boys and lady students of our College within our Premises. We are also proud that we a few handful of Educational Institutes in Mumbai who has our own Gymkhana ground which is facing the Marine Drive
