Bhavan’s College situated in the heart of Mumbai is one of the Bhavan’s first institutions of higher education. The foundation stone of the College was laid by former President of Independent India Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and the College was inaugurated by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel the Iron Man of India in 1946. The College is affiliated to the University of Mumbai and is eligible for academic and research grants from University Grants Commission. In the year 2003-04, the college was accredited grade B++ with 82% by National Assessment and Accreditation Council for the period from 2004-2009. The College is currently in the process of seeking re-accreditation. Bhavan’s College is one of the very few colleges which have the privilege to have completed 60 years of dedicated service in the field of education and celebrated its Diamond Jubilee in the very first decade of the new millennium.

	Eligibility A candidate for being eligible for admission to Three Year Integrated Course leading to B.Sc. Biotechnology shall have passed HSC (Std. XII) examination in Science, conducted by Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent in Science Stream.

5 .	B.Sc. Computer Science
	Eligibility A candidate for being eligible for admission to the three year integrated course leading to the degree of B.Sc. (in Computer Science) must have passed Higher Secondary School Certificate examination (Std XII) in Science stream conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary &Higher Education with mathematics and Statistics as one of the subjects; or its equivalent examination.

	Admission Procedure Admission will be as per merit on the order of preference as follows: i) Aggregate marks of HSC or equivalent examination ii) Aggregate marks in Science Stream (P-C & M) iii) Marks in Mathematics and Statistics and Physics iv) Marks in Mathematics and Statistics

6 .	B.Sc. IT
	Eligibility a)A candidate for being eligible for admission to degree programme of Information Technology shall have passed HSC (XII std) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with Mathematics and Statistics as one of the subjects and should have secured not less than 45% marks in aggregate for open category and 40% in aggregate in case of reserved category students. b)Candidates who have passed Diploma (Three Years after SSC /X Std) in Information Technology, Computer Technology / Computer Engineering / Computer Science / Electrical, Electronics and Video Engineering and allied branches / mechanical Engineering and allied branches / civil and allied branches are eligible for direct admission to the Second Year of the B.Sc. (I.T.) Degree course. However, the Diploma should be recognized by the Board of Technical Education or any other recognized Government Body. Minimum marks required 45% aggregate for open category candidates and 40% aggregate for reserved category candidates. OR Candidates with post HSC Diploma in Information Technology / Computer Technology / Computer Engineering / Computer Science and Allied branches will be eligible for direct admission to Second Year of B.Sc. (I.T.). However, the Diploma should be recognized by the Board of Technical Education of any other recognized Government Body. Minimum marks required 45% aggregate for open category candidates and 40% aggregate for reserved category candidates.

7 .	Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS)
	Eligibility a candidate for being eligible for admission to the course shall have passed HSC (XII Std) Examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination or Diploma in any engineering branches with two/ three/ four years duration after SSC conducted by the Board of Technical Education, Maharashtra State or equivalent examination by securing 45% of marks for general category (in one attempt) and 40% marks for reserved category (in one attempt).

	Admission Procedure Admissions are based purely on merit following the reservation policy as per norms of Government of Maharashtra. While drawing merit list weightage will be given to students from the faculties of Arts, Commerce and Science stream at HSC

8 .	Bachelor of Mass Media
	Eligibility A candidate for being eligible for admission to degree course in B.M.M. shall have passed HSC (XII Std) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination from Arts, Commerce or Science stream at HSC.
