Government College, Safidon is affiliated to Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. Well-qualified, efficient and devoted faculty and cordial teacher-student relationships are the main features of this college. The motto of our college is to impart quality education for all round development of the student.
Keeping in view the rising demand of higher education in rural area or Jind District, this college was established in July 1976 as a privately managed institution then named Adarsh College, Safidon. Govt. of Haryana took over this institution in January, 1980 because of the persistent demand of the people of this area.
The college has substantial infrastructure comprising spacious and well-furnished classrooms and laboratories, rich library, vast playgrounds. The college is spread across 16 acres of land, out of which built up area is 3,000 sq. metres approx. and the rest is covered with 30,000 sq. metres size playgrounds and lush green botanical gardens. The college has knowledge rich library which works from 9 am to 4 pm on all working days. Book Bank is maintained in the library and books are provided to poor and needy brilliant students.
