Institute of Engineering & Industrial Technology, Durgapur popularly known as IEIT was set up on 15th August 2008 under the overall management of Sanaka Educational Trust. IEIT management is deeply committed to gradually build the college as one of the best seats of Engineering and Management Education in Eastern India with domestic and global requirements in view. The college is affiliated to the West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT). The college is approved by both All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) and Department of Higher Education, Govt. of West Bengal.
In the year 2010, the institute was converted to an AICTE approved integrated campus and the name was subsequently changed to Sanaka Educational Trust’s Group of Institutions (SETGOI).
Labs:The management always has a keen eye on improving the practical knowledge of the students by incorporating new and updated equipment in the labs with latest technology ,which gives the students an added advantage. The equipments of the labs are calibrated from time to time to keep in proper shape and to get the desired result with high precision.
The nerve centre of educational institution is it's library, where the books or literatures that the institution makes available to it's students are stored. The institute in the near future will have an up to date central library housed in a separate newly extended building along with administrative building with a total area of about 10000 Sq. Ft.

· Scholorship The SETGOI management provides financial assistance to meritorious students belonging to economically weaker sections of society by waiving their tuition fees. Who are taking admission through counseling under TFW scheme, also facilitating students to avail different Govt. Scholarship schemes.
