Established in 2002, Guru Gobind Singh College of Pharmacy, Yamuna Nagar is one of the pioneering pharmacy institutes in northern India. It has been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, Directorate Of Technical Education, Haryana, Pharmacy council of India under section 12 of pharmacy act and affiliated to Pt.B.D.Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak. Situated in the heart of the city, it has beautifully landscaped campus with a pollution free environment.
The college is being governed by Guru Nanak Khalsa College Committee,Yamuna Nagar registered under the societies act-1986. The managing committee is also governing the multifaculty Guru Nanak Khalsa Post GraduateCollege (Accredited as A+ by NAAC),
It is working under the dynamic leadership of the great visionary S. Bhupinder Singh Ji Jauhar, who besides being a leading industrialist of the country is a great philanthropist and a man of international repute. His love for the cause of social welfare & education is apparent from the fact that he is associated with a large number of societies such as Sikh Education Society, Chandigarh, International Punjabi Society and World Punjabi Organization besides serving on the Boards of Governors of a myriad of highly reputed institutions of higher learning. Besides S. Bhupinder Singh Ji Jauhar, the Board of Governors of the college comprises of several luminaries including educationists, jurists, industrialists, social activists, technocrats, bureaucrats & agriculturists.
The college has a spacious building with well equipped 12 laboratories having latest sophisticated instruments for providing excellent training to the students. Other facilities include a seminar hall, a museum, an animal house,amedicinal plant garden (with large variety of medicinal plants). The college has a well stocked computerized librarywith more than 7500 books, 11 national, 5 international journals and 06 magazines. In addition to the above facilities for imparting instructions to the students, the college has a hostel, a spacious sports ground, and a canteen. A qualified doctor visits the campus regularly. The college has engaged well qualified teaching faculty including two professors with long teaching & research experience in medicinal chemistry and herbal medicine.
