Sarojini Naidu Government Girls Postgraduate (Autonomous) College, Bhopal, a premier institution of higher education in central India.
Recognized by the University Grants Commission as centre for potential with excellence and reaccredited by NAAC, the institution functions under the administrative control of the Department of Higher Education, Government of Madhya Pradesh. Established in the year 1970, the college is popularly referred to as "Nutan College" and is affiliated to Barkatullah University, Bhopal.
The Sarojini Naidu College has consistently aimed at optimum use of its resources to incorporate features of excellence in its campus-academic, infrastructural and environmental. Every possible effort is made in these directions to improve existing practices in these fields. The college has well equipped classrooms and departmental staff rooms. There is a lecture hall equipped with modern teaching aids like O.H.P., T.V., V.C.R., CD player, slide projector, LCD and motorized screen. Conference room of the college is furnished with an audio video system. There is an auditorium cum Badminton court and an open air stage for cultural and other activities. The Girls’ Common Room provides a space where students can relax and chat freely
Hostel Facility
The girls’ hostel of the college is only for the students, whose parents do not reside in Bhopal. It is located at a walking distance from the college. The accommodation capacity has been extended for 100 girls from the session 2008-09. The rooms are furnished and with double and triple occupancy. Compulsory Mess facility is provided to the hostellers. Medical and other necessary facilities are also provided to them. After getting admission in the college, the students will have to fill separate application form for Hostel facility.
