S.V.I.T. – Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Institute of Technology was established in 1997 with the Ideals of Shri Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. It is approved by AICTE, DTE (Government of Gujarat) and affiliated with Gujarat Technological University.S.V.I.T. is managed by New English School Trust (NEST)
The SVIT Library consists of a central library and 10 departmental libraries which collectively support the teaching, research and extension programs of the Institute. All students, faculty members of the institute are entitled to make use of the library facilities on taking library membership. The library, besides having a huge collection of books on engineering, science and humanities offers library services through its various divisions.
Various well known companies like L&T, L&T Infotech, Siemens, e- infochips, Satyam Computer, i Flex, Iris India etc. had recruited number of students.
