The Vindhya Institute of Technology and Science (Popularly known as VITS), Satna, a constituent institute of Vindhya group, is rated among the top private engineering colleges in Madhya Pradesh. VITs is one of the first private engineering colleges in the Vindhya region. VITS is known for its rich, vibrant campus life marked by technical, cultural and sports events running throughout the year.
The central library of the college has over 52,000 volumes and subscribes to over 250 general and technical journals (both Indian & foreign). The library offers digitised services with CD-ROM stations. The library is equipped with digital library facilities with a subscription to large number of e-journals through INDSET and DELNET and offers online services. Students have access to the e-resources of the library anywhere on the campus over the campus wide network facility.
Hostel Facility
The college has separate hostel for boys (Vivekanand Hostel) with in Campus and girls in the city. The boraders are accommodated in well-furnished room and are allotted with an individual locker and study table. Solar water heaters provide hot water to students. A full time Warden for each of the hostels looks after the welfare and needs of students.
A Group Level Central Training & Placement Cell takes care of all training and placement related activities at the 3 Institutes of the Vindhya Group. Further each college has a separate Training & Placement Cell acting as the link between students and the Group Central Training and Placement Cell.
The Primary focus is to direct students towards their ultimate objective of best placement in companies in India and abroad. Two basic needs of industries i.e. technical competence and overall personality are specifically addressed to during the students stay at the College.
The Placement Cell also provides guidance for various competitive examinations e.g. GRE, GATE, GMAT and CAT to students who are keen to pursue future academic studies. Regular campus placements are organized at different colleges of the Vindhya Group of Institutions.
