FDDI-Kolkata Campus is located on the Basanti Highway of Sundarban the wild life sanctuary, West Bangal , 20 minutes drive from Science City , Kolkata. The campus is spread over 15 acres and is situated in a calm and serene surrounding with the state-of-the art housing & buildings having a built-up area of approximately 3 lacs sq. ft. Besides ample air-conditioned classrooms, technical workshops equipped with modern state-of-art machineries, it has conference halls, seminar halls, auditorium, computer labs, Design Studio, CAD- CAM Lab and the library along with fully furnished separate Girls & Boys Hostel. This makes FDDI-Kolkata a most modern and world level campus.
For practical training the campus has a full-fledged workshop for cutting, closing, components, lasting, finishing. All labs are equipped with state of art machineries and equipments. The Institute is also having Library, Classrooms, Information Technology Services Center (ITSC), Centre for Retail Management (CRM), Centre for Leather Goods and Accessories Design (CLGAD) and Fashion Designing (FD). The campus has air-conditioned classrooms, technical workshops equipped with modern state-of-art machineries. It has conference halls, seminar halls, auditorium, open-air theatre, computer labs, and the library along with fully furnished separate Girls & Boys Hostel, which makes the campus the most modern and world class institute in its own area
Hostel Facility
Hostel at FDDI-Kolkata offers spacious, hygienic and secure facility both for boys & girls separately. The rooms are properly ventilated and provided with fans, tube lights and necessary furniture. Each student is provided a cot, a chair, a table, and cupboard (locker). It has recreation rooms equipped with color TV set, music system, facilities like RO system, dining halls and indoor games to enhance the physical activities of the students
The Placement Cell plays a very important and key role in counseling and guiding the students of the institute for their successful career, which is crucial interface for the students between the stage of completion of academic programs of studies and entry into the suitable employment. This Cell also coordinates various activities related to the placement of the students along with the Industry internship. Reputed National and Multinational companies visit the campus for campus interviews every year. So far the institute has been able to achieve a 100% job placement record. All students secure job offers before they complete their programs at FDDI-Kolka
