Narasaraopeta Engineering College (NEC), Narasaraopet was established by Gayatri Educational Development Society. The College is accredited by NBA. The college has been established with a view to promote quality education in the state mainly in the Palnadu area, a group of philanthropists, academics and industrialists joined forces for its formation.
The vision of the institute is to groom NEC as a technological hub and gateway of knowledge with Indian values and universal standards. The mission of the institute is to employ faculty and staff with performance of excellence and dedication and to groom advanced state-of-the-art technological laboratories with latest equipment and infrastructure.
Library: NEC Library System consists of a Central Library and 6 departmental libraries which collectively supports the teaching, research and extension programmes of the Institute. All students, faculty members and employees of the institute are entitled to make use of the Library facilities on taking Library membership. The Central Library has a huge collection of books 43,680 on engineering, science, humanities and Management.
Canteen: A Well Furnished Canteen is available for the students even beyond the working hours.
Bank ATM Facility: A State Bank ATM is available inside College Campus for the students and staff.
Sports: NEC has the infrastructure for the indoor and outdoor games. NEC has a well maintainedCricket ground, an Athletic track, Basket ball court, Tennis court, GYM, Volley ball court, Kabaddi court etc. Indoor games like Chess, Caroms, Table Tennis etc. are available.
Hostel Facility
Institute provides separate Hostel facility for Boys and Girls with Well Furnished Rooms. These hostels accommodate more than 500 students comfortably. The hostels maintain high standards of hygiene, comfort and cleanliness.
Mess facilities are also available to provide the hostlers with nutritious and quality food. Girls Hostel is located inside Campus to ensure comfortable reach to classes.
Placement cell available. The prime objective of the Cell is to facilitate its graduating students and industry by providing a meeting ground where the prospective employer companies can identify suitable candidates for placement in their organization. Organizes and coordinates Campus Placement Program, to fulfill its commitment of a job to every aspirant.
