The lush green Maharishi Markandeshwar University spread over an area of 47 acres with exotic surroundings of green hills is ideally located on Chandigarh-Shimla National Highway at Sultanpur Road, Solan (H.P.) in the lap of the 'devbhoomi' of great Himalayan. Established as a Multi faculty University in the name of the Maharishi Markandeshwar Ji, a great disciple of Lord Shiva, the foundation stone of the University was laid by the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Shri Prem Kumar Dhumal Ji on 22 February 2009.

1 .	B.Tech. Civil Engineering
	Eligibility The candidate should have passed Senior School Certificate Examination (10+2) or an equivalent examination with atleast five subjects with one of the subject of English from any recognized board/ university with at least 45% (40% in the case of reserved category) marks in Physics, Mathematics and one subject of Chemistry/Bio-technology/Biology taken together. Or Should have passed with minimum 45% marks (40% in the case of reserved category) in Diploma in Engg./Tech., of three years or more duration from any recognized Board of Technical Education or its equivalent Diploma examination

	Admission Procedure Admissions will be made on the basis of the merit of the all India rank JEE (Main).

2 .	B.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering

	Eligibility The candidates should have passed Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (10+2) from any recognized Board/University with at least five subjects including English as one of the main subjects.

	Admission Procedure Admissions will be made on the basis of the merit of the Entrance Test to be conducted by the MMU, Solan or any other State/National level Management Aptitude Test for admission to BBA Programme.

6 .	M.Sc. Chemistry
	Eligibility B.Sc. (Hons) in Chemistry with at least 50% marks (45% in the case of reserved category) in aggregate from any recognized University. Or B.Sc. in full subjects with (Hons) in Chemistry obtaining at least 50% marks (45% in the case of reserved category) in aggregate of Hons examination from any recognized University. Or B.Sc. with Chemistry as one of the main subject securing at least 50% (45% in the case of reserved category) marks in aggregate from any recognized University.

7 .	M.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering
	Eligibility The candidate should have passed Senior School Certificate Examination (10+2) or an equivalent examination with atleast five subjects with one of the subject of English from any recognized board/ university with at least 45% (40% in the case of reserved category) marks in Physics, Mathematics and one subject of Chemistry/Bio-technology/Biology taken together. Or Bachelor's Degree of minimum 3 years duration with minimum 50% marks (45% in the case of reserved category) in any discipline with Mathematics/Statistics as one of the subjects from any recognized University.
