Rajiv Gandhi Institute of IT & BT (RGITBT) received its affiliation with Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University (BVDU) from UGC, New Delhi on 7th August, 2002 {vide its communication, bearing F.No.-3–2/90/(CPP-I)}. Accordingly, it started functioning from an academic year 2003 - 04. Its initial operations located at Y M College of Arts, Commerce and Science, the mother institute of BVDU were subsequently shifted in June 2005 to its rightful place on the Medical College campus in the newly built gigantic structure, christened as Rajiv Gandhi Institute of IT & BT.
The central air-conditioned auditorium facility with a projector and seating arrangement for 140 individuals is available for seminars, common meetings etc.The UG & PG laboratories are well furnished with routinely required equipment (separately provided) for performing the experiments meaningfully.
Hostel Facility
The students seek accommodation in university’s boys and girls hostels located at 5 min walking distance.
The placement cell was constituted in 2007 and four students were selected through campus interview.
