Dr. D. Y. Patil Biotechnology and Bioinformatics Institute (DYPBBI), started in the year of 2004, is a constituent unit of Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth which is accredited by NAAC with 'A' grade. DYPBBI is well adapted to the interdisciplinary mode of biotechnology research needed for such goals. The academic and research units at DYPBBI have clear objectives and goals. DYPBBI is striving to provide cutting edge knowledge and practical experience in all the sectors of biotechnology.
Started in the year 2004 Dr. D.Y. Patil Biotechnology & Bioinformatics Institute has well equipped class rooms, auditorium, computer and wet laboratories, library etc. More laboratories, new library, seminar rooms, student's center will be available after the completion of new building with floor area of 39000 sq ft which is going on war footings.
The institute has communication with number of companies for placement of the students after graduation.
