Dr. Sau. Kamaltai Gawai Institute of Engineering and Technology (KGIET), Darapur is established in 2008 under the flagship of Shri. Dadasaheb Gawai Charitable Trust, Amravati. The Trust was started by our Hon'ble Patron, Shri. R. S. Gawai.
Library:The college has a well furnished library. The total cost of the books and journals in library is about Rs. 37.50 Lacks. There are spacious and separate reading rooms for faculty and students with modern furniture. Software for the library is being procured to computerize it. This will facilitate extensive use of library by faculty and students.
Laboratory:Full featured and well equipped laboratories are made available to the students and faculties for their studies and research work. Internet connections are provided in every laboratory apart from Wi-Fi facility.
Hostel Facility
One Boys hostel (Owned) and One Girls hostel (Rented) is located at Amravati. One more hostel facility is developed at Darapur.
Scholarship Facility
Government provides scholarships to the students according to their category. The various categories are EBC (Economically Backward Class), GOI (Government of India) Freeship, Minority, etc.
