Government College of Engineering and Research has been established in August 2009 by Government of Maharashtra. This is the only Government College of Engineering affiliated to Pune University.
Library:The college has a library having about 16000 books, 61 International / National Journals, 3 e-jourals and a separate reading room of 100 seating capacity.
The college has 2 connections of Reliance RF internet facility of 2 Mbps capacity each. In addition BSNL fiber optic internet connection of 4 Mbps capacity is being installed soon.Well equipped Labortory for each department.
Hostel Facility
The college has two Boys Hostel buildings and one Girls Hostel building each having 180 capacity with a separate dining hall. Both hostels are provided with recreation and gymnasium facility. Admissions to the hostel are given strictly on merit. Out of the total seats available, seats are divided amongst the First, Second and Third year students. Hostel fee is charged as per prevailing Government Rules. At present, hostel fees stipulated by the Government is Rs. 550/- per year.
