The college started in the year 2001 with just three courses and an intake of 150 students.
Library:The college has well-established computerized Library (Jayawant Library) with a large collection of textbooks, reference books, technical journals, educational DVDs and CDs for all courses offered through RSCOE. In addition to print copies of relevant journals, the library has also subscribed international online journals like IEEE ,ASME, ASCE, ACM, EBSCO, Science Direct, ASTM, J-Gate(JET and (JSMS), which can be accessed and downloaded through internet facility provided in digital library. NPTEL video Lectures delivered by India’s best teachers are also available in library.
Computer Centre : The Institute has a modern Computer Center, presently running on 23 Mbps internet bandwidth. It is the nucleus of all computing facilities for students and staff. There are several terminals running on Windows and GNU/Linux operating systems. The Computer Center provides access to students even after college hours.
Hostel Facility
The Institute offers hostel accommodation to both girls and boys located at southern end of the campus. It comprises three buildings for girls and one for boys. Hostel fee is based on three seater rooms or two seater rooms including electricity charges. Hostel is provided with three common kitchen cum mess units for girl students. The mess serves vegetarian and non-vegetarian food and the unit is operated under the management of 5 member student mess council. Students staying in the hostel have to necessarily take their food in the Hostel Mess only. Every member of the hostel is provided with basic amenities like cot, table, chair, ceiling fan, cupboard. Each hostel is equipped with solar water heating system. Common room facilities with Cable TV and telephone are available in each hostel building. High speed Wi-Fi Internet connectivity is available within hostel premises. We have canteen facility also within the hostel premises. Alongwith all these facilities, strict security is provided 24*7.
RSCOE placement Cell , organize various technical and non-technical training programs for the students.
