Jayawantrao Sawant college of Pharmacy and Research has started in June 2006 and is located at S. No. 58, Hadapsar, Pune on Handewadi road. The college is located in a pollution free & beautifully landscaped campus. The college is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, Government of Maharashtra, Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Mumbai, Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). The college is affiliated to the prestigious University of Pune.
The college has library, computer lab, instrument lab, machine room, four class rooms. The college also has boys common room, girls common room, medicinal plant garden, canteen, Pharmacy meuseum, animal house, conference room, seminar hall, playground, covered parking, exam centre, sports centre, medical centre, photo copying centre, PCO, etc.
Library:The College has a well organized spacious library with separate reading and reference section. It has well stocked more than 700 titles of books. Total 4584 text books and reference books are available. The library regularly subscribes to twenty national & six international journals, seven periodicals on relevant Pharmaceutical subjects as well as magazines for general reading. The photographic and printing facilities are also made available to the students in the library. We are proud to have digital library section available for students in our institute.
Laboratory:Laboratory is well equipped with equipments like laminar air flow unit, autoclave, incubator, hot air oven, etc, for routine pharmaceutical microbiology practicals & research. Students are encouraged to perform practicals individually to develop good practical hand.
The T&P cell of the institute not only trains students and but also provides career guidance and counselling to the students.
