Roorkee Institute of Technology has been established under the tutelage of Himalayan Charitable Trust (HCT). The vision behind establishing RIT is to impart the futuristic technical and management education which can effectively comply with the rapidly changing global scenario.
Library: RIT has a well stocked modern library .The library is kept open for 12 hours on working days to inculcate the habit of reading and acquiring knowledge . The 24×7 wi-fi enabled library, is the knowledge hub of all academic activities. It has a remarkable contribution in making the institute a premiere education centre. Library on a regular basis is upgraded with the latest journals and books in related fields of engineering, Technology & Management.
Indoor Sports: Indoor games / activities like Table Tennis, Chess, Carom etc. are provided by the institute.
Outdoor sports: RIT is having outdoor sports facilities for Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Badminton etc. The spacious grounds of the institute are maintained for this purpose.
