Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Management | Master of Management Studies (MMS) | Master of Marketing Management (MMM) | Post Graduate Certificate in Management (PGCM)

Eligibility
A candidate seeking registration for the Ph.D. must possess Master’s degree with at least 55% marks in the appropriate field of Management from University recognized by UGC or its equivalent.  OR  (b) M. Phil. degree of a University, with first division for exemption from pre- Ph.D. course.  OR  (c) Master’s degree or its equivalent, with at least 55% marks in the relevant field of Science/ Humanities etc. Notwithstanding anything contained in the above mentioned rules (a) to (d), the eligibility criteria/ guidelines prescribed and/or issued by UGC from time to time shall be applicable for registration to all Ph.D. Programme(s) of the University. The University shall encourage inter-disciplinary research activity. Sponsored Candidates : An employee of a Government Department/ Government Undertaking, a Research/ Development Organization, Public Sector Undertaking, an Educational Institution, a private Industry services with a minimum relevant working experience of three years may be considered for admission as a sponsored (full-time/ part-time) research scholar. Sponsored applicants will be eligible for admission provided they are treated by their employers as on duty.

Admission Procedure
Candidates fulfilling the minimum laid down qualifications will have to undertake Ph.D. Entrance test.  Successful candidates will have to undergo for personal interview.

Eligibility
Passed with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate* ( 45% in case of candidates of backward class categories belonging to Maharashtra State only) in any Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline recognised by the Association of Indian Universities                             OR Appeared** for the final year examination of any Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities. Such candidates can be considered for provisional admission subject to passing the Degree exam with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate* (45% in case of candidates of backward class categories belonging to Maharashtra State only). The pedagogical feature of the course is the extensive use of case studies and live projects based on current corporate situations. The case studies and projects are selected so that they develop the students' ability to think about business as a whole and it’s including 45 days summer internship. The result is an intensive, highly interactive learning experience for the students.

Admission Procedure
The admissions are through a highly competitive and an online computer-based test followed by Group Discussion (GD) & Personal Interview (PI) conducted by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), India. It is a national-level admission test for facilitating institutions to select suitable students for admission in all management programmes approved by AICTE.

Eligibility Criteria for candidate from University of Mumbai : Candidates must have passed a Bachelor degree examination in any faculty of Mumbai University or an examination recognized by Association of Indian Universities. Candidates must have acquired a minimum two years of work experience at supervisory or Executive level. Experience will be counted from they day subsequent to the last day of qualifying examination passed by the candidate. If the practical experience is in more by the employer stating clearly the nature of work experience is be submitted
Eligibility criteria for candidates from Universities other than University of Mumbai : Candidates who are graduate of other Universities will be required to produce a provisional statement of eligibility issued by the registrar, University of Mumbai declaring them eligible for admission to the course. The admission will only be confirmed after confirmation of their eligibility by the University of Mumbai. For confirmation of eligibility, a) Migration Certificate & Verification Letter b) Bachelor Degree Certificate and c) Bachelor’s Degree mark list should be submitted to the Univrersity through the Institute latest by the end of the frist semester.

The programme covers all the related areas of marketing including public sector marketing. It seeks to develop an integrated top management perspective which is necessary for marketing executives to move into top level general management positions. Candidates seeking admissions to this programme must have practical experience in any of the following related areas: Marketing Planning, Sales Management, Marketing Research, Distribution, Public Relation, Advertising, Export Marketing and Applied Economics.

Post Graduate Certificate in Management (P.G.C.M.) is course designed for individuals who are in the process of assuming higher level responsibilities to think holistically and develop an integrated and strategic perspective on managerial challenges faced in real life. The course will equip participants with sound concepts, high level analytics, leadership and change management skills. After completion of the certificate course, participants can aspire to take managerial positions and leadership roles.  The program will offer subjects for deeper study horizontally across functional areas and vertically across domains such as Marketing, Human Resources (HR), and Finance.
